Does anyone know of any examples of complex responsive emails out there? I've seen plenty responsive emails with large images and big blocks of text but I'm wondering how complicated they can really be.
Hi j_saal, when it comes to responsive email design, the simpler, the better. I think you'll find that the email templates produced by our template builder are as sophisticated as they get, because anything beyond a 2-column layout just becomes difficult to navigate and read for recipients, as well as hard to develop and keep consistent across email clients, for coders and designers alike.
Keep an eye on our blog, as we're planning to feature some interesting responsive designs there shortly. But I think you'll find these will be largely straightforward from a layout and code point-of-view, as complexity is really something that email designers try to avoid.
I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you're looking for but the company I work for have done some cool mobile stuff with content a bit more "real" (like you're talking about).
