Is it possible to setup a rule or action that would change a users segment after a campaign is sent? I have a subscription form which includes an option for registrants to request additional information. If a registrant selects yes for this option they are added to a particular segment in CM. I then send an email to this segment and would like all recipients removed from this segment afterwards. Currently, I have to manually edit each registrant to remove the segment info.
Hey there mgseeley, welcome to the forums! You could certainly do this using our API. Alternately, you could create a segment for sending to new registrants who want additional information, like:
'Additional Information' Equals 'Yes' and 'Date Subscribed' Is after [date you last sent a campaign]
How do these options sound?
Thanks for the tips! The second option is easily implemented but would still require someone's attention either after sending a campaign or before sending the next to adjust the date, correct? Since I want it to be more automated then that, I'll start reading the API docs.
Thanks mgseeley and sorry about the hassle here. We'll certainly look at improving segments on our end, as being able to automatically have a segment update based on, 'Date Subscribed' Is after 'Last campaign' would take a lot of manual work out of this. Let us know how you go :)
