Additional space on tables Outlook 2007, 2010

Hi there,

I'm in trouble with a table. Outlook 2007and 2010 add more vertical space inside (or between) cells.
Who could help me, please? I'm nearly sending the newsletter.

Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

Hi andrend, is there the possibility that you could post your code here for us to look at? My first advice would be to add the following css style...

img { display: block; }

... as often the spacing around images is mistaken for the table layout going mad. Hope that helps!

Hi andrend and Rossane,

sometime Outlook (2007, 2010) add about 1-2px space around images, even if set "display: block;". Try add into image style special attribute for Outlook only: "mso-padding-alt: 0px 0px 0px 0px;". Sure, after it, image will be aligned only to left, even if center or right alignment is specified. If you can align image to center, add into image style: "margin: 0px auto;" (0 top, bottom, auto left, right, or add "margin: 0px auto 0px auto;" - it's the same). If you can align image to right, add into image style: "margin: 0px 0px 0px auto;" (auto on left, 0 all other).

As vertical size of table, do not set height of table, rows and cells! Set exact height value only to cells, that contain only, and only one, image, and only exact value of height that image.

Enjoy
