Is it possible to customise the text on the "forward to a friend" page?
I need to edit the "Enter a message" text which is currently
"I just received this email and thought you might find it interesting."
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for any help
Hi David, not at present, I'm sorry to say. I'll certainly add your vote internally for a customizable forward to a friend page, plus let you know if it's something we improve on in the future. Thank you! :)
Thanks for your reply. Look forward to hearing from you in the future if you add this feature.
I think it's crazy that you can't customise the forward to a friend page. What if you want to keep it in line with your client's style and branding. Seems like an obvious thing when Daily Candy etc do it
Hi mattbryer, welcome to the forums. Thank you for your feedback here - this is one of a few things we would love to see improved ourselves, so I'll give it a nudge internally and give you a buzz if it's something we update. Sorry about it looking so plain-jane for now!
Having a "Forward" link or button within the email is a great ideaI… but not if it just goes to a generic, if not ugly form, that forces your customer to then go back to their email client or address book to look up the address they need, so they can then type them in by hand or copy and paste them into form fields x5. I would much rather the link simply open a new email in the same client, like the forward button itself… they're already there and so are the addresses, anything is better than filling out a bunch of form fields by hand.
I've been looking at CM for a couple of years now and I've never understood how could you guys do such a great job on everything else and then have such a lame solution for the most important link in the email, other than possibly the "Unsuscribe" link.
Hi upstreamic2, welcome aboard here. I totally agree that there's plenty we could do to make our Forward to a Friend page so much better. There is a lot of room for improvement here, so happy to give this task a bump, based on your suggestions.
Recipients are more than welcome to forward an email using their email client, however we usually recommend using the form due to the fact that many email clients do a great job of mangling email designs when forwarding using the email client itself. Nonetheless, we'll look at how we can improve this process and make it more intuitive for designers and recipients alike. Thanks again for your help!
